- As of December 2007, I'm the owner of yarnsmith.co.uk - fantastic, I love it!. I'm also mum to Darryl (11) and Tilly 5) and have a hardworking husband who owns his own IT company. We live in the beautiful North Essex country side - and try to appreciate it every day, especially when walking our wicked whippet, Alfie, often accompanied by our grey cat - Smokie. I'm a Member of the Mid-Essex Guild of Spinners, Weavers and Dyers, (what a fantastic group of women!) but still trying to time find to practice the spinning. I'm passionate about knitting (and yarn!), love a good debate, a good book and a good film, but mainly, passionate about knitting!
